![]() ![]() Here's some information that might be of use about web browser colour management: There's been some other good advice about printer profiles and getting hold of them too, or at least understanding what type of colour space the printing labs are using so that you can make sure you tailor your output accordingly. There is no substitute for proper hardware calibration, because it's done at a hardware level with your computers graphics card and it creates a LUT (Look Up Table) to specifically match colours to the monitor profile. Please take a look at the screen captures of images before and after uploading to the online photo printers. I can verify this by opening the JPG image in Photoshop and checking that the source color profile is set to sRGB. I edit my photos using Adobe's Camera RAW plug-in inside Adobe Bridge, and I save the images as JPGs with the sRGB color profile. If you have insight on this, please help! Here's my workflow. ![]() They ONLY look bad when displayed (and I assume, when printed) by any online photo printer. In Firefox, even after I upload it to my own web server (!!) Note that my photos look good in all of these instances. I took my files personally to the store and printed directly from their kiosk, and the prints look just as bad. ![]() When I complained, they told me that's that I should expect the prints to match the online preview. I previously ordered prints from Walgreens and the prints came back looking exactly like the online preview. After uploading the images, the colors are washed out and have a grayish-green cast. I have posted images to several online photo sites (Walgreens, EZPrints, MPix), and they all have the same problem. I'm so frustrated with this I can't stand it. ![]()
